Cadets
This week marked an exciting milestone for our Combined Cadet Force as eight of our cadets participated in their first Air Experience Flight (AEF). Despite challenging weather conditions at the airfield, our cadets demonstrated remarkable resilience and professionalism throughout the day.
Four cadets successfully took to the skies, experiencing the thrill of flight first hand. The experience offered them unique insights into aviation principles they had previously studied in their classroom sessions, bringing their theoretical knowledge to life.
Cadet Kilty particularly distinguished himself during the visit, receiving special recognition from Sergeant Fox for his exceptional conduct and enthusiasm. His outstanding approach exemplified the core values of our CCF programme.
Even those cadets who were unable to fly due to weather restrictions maintained impeccable standards of behaviour and used the opportunity to support their fellow cadets and learn from ground operations. This perfectly demonstrated the teamwork and adaptability we seek to develop in our young leaders.
The Air Experience Flight programme forms a crucial part of our CCF's aerospace curriculum, offering cadets hands-on exposure to aviation while developing key skills in leadership, discipline, and decision-making. Further flights will be arranged for those cadets whose flights were postponed, ensuring all participants have the opportunity to experience this valuable training.
