A reminder that school is closed on Monday for the bank holiday.

Wirral Cup Final Year 9 & 10

We are taking 2 buses of supporters from years 9 and 10 to cheer on their teams in the Wirral Cup Final on Thursday 11th May. Letters have been emailed home today and tickets can be bought using ParentPay.

Virtual STEM Day

On Wednesday, 44 Year 7 and 8 students will be taking part in the PPMA Best Virtual STEM Day Challenge. In teams of 4, they will design and build a marble run to safely move the “product” from A to B, with the longest timed journey being acclaimed the winner. Teams will also present their novel ideas on new tech with the best pitch also winning a prize.

Library

Our Book of the Week comes from Anthony McGowan and is called I am the Minotaur.  This gritty, honest and hopeful story follows Matthew, a young carer who is often bulled and so tries to remain invisible in school. Until one day, Ari, a girl Matthew has admired from afar, has her new bike stolen and Matthew decides to get it back for her, even if that means getting noticed! A relatable and easily readable book with dyslexia friendly layout, this is a book that is definitely not to be missed!

Mr Whiteley has been meeting the students who took part in our Readathon to congratulate them on raising over £400 for the charity, our best result yet! Well done to all of the boys that took part, you have made us very proud!
