  • A musical interlude

    Published 27/06/24

I'll have a "P" Bob!  was once the call in the famous Blockbusters quiz show but the music industry has taken it large with 3 P’s as the  3 pillars for successful careers in the industry. Perform, Produce, and Promote the gateway to fulfilment and happiness in the music industry but not without a load of graft, unhealthy meals and many late nights. And so Mosslands students were introduced to “musical careers” and enjoyed an inspiring and interactive day at Sound City kindly hosted by Wirral Metropolitan College.  Students sat in on panel discussions were industry experts regaled the audience with a potted history of their journeys.

  • Year 7s go to University!

    Published 23/05/24

So why does Mosslands school take young students to Universities? It’s all part of showing students the future options and educational pathways that they might want to go into in the future. No pressure, no hard sell but just a chance to walk through the campuses, explore the amazing facilities, get a brief insight and vibe of university life and just enjoy the experience. Additionally, in this case, our students also got a chance to work with The Talent Foundry on their Powering Transformation program, working in teams to produce a Global Social Issue campaign and presentation.

  • Feel Good Field Trip

    Published 16/01/24

Life is a journey and not a destination! However, Mosslands students and staff did get the opportunity to enjoyment both on a recent whistle-stop tour of London’s Galleries and Museums. Leaving Lime Street everyone enjoyed the comfort and relaxed time spent with each other, courtesy of one of Avanti West's best before undertaking the challenges of transiting London, the Wombles way - overground and underground.  Nine of the student group who went on the visit had never been to London and so it was a privilege to aid them ( and a rite of passage for their first London visit) on their life journey, both physical & metaphysical. So it was a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths) visit to the National Gallery, National History Museum, and The Science Museum.
