A Message from Mr Whiteley
Please remember that school will be closed to pupils tomorrow, Friday 11th October, for a staff training day.
We are currently in the process of recruiting for a parent governor. The details of the 3 candidates who put themselves forward will be sent out by email in due course, and as is customary, the decision is open to a parental vote. Each family can vote once, either using the electronic link in the letter, or by filling in the voting slip and returning it to the school office. If you would prefer, this can be returned by email to admin@mosslands.wirral.sch.uk, marked as Parental Governor Election.
The vote will close at the end of the day on Thursday 17th October, and we will inform you of the outcome. Can I particularly thank those parents who put themselves forward? It is heartening to see their aspirations for the school. I look forward to welcoming the successful candidate to our governing body.
A reminder to Y11 parents and students that our 6th Form Open Evening starts at 6pm this evening. It is vital that Y11 students start researching and applying for their next destinations. They will be facing their mock examinations in November and this is the springboard for future qualifications and careers and must be taken seriously.
Once again, I urge all parents to make sure children are present in school, whenever possible. Attendance is a crucial factor in success.
