The Year 7 & 8 athletics squad competed in the Wirral Athletics Championships. The boys performed well achieving 3rd place in both year groups, making them one of the best non selective schools on the Wirral! They were competing against all schools on the Wirral with some very established athletics teams.
Note able successes were Josh O'Keefe and Daniel Andrew who finished first and second respectively in the Year 7 high jump. Keiran Tollet (Yr7) won the 100m, Wes Richardson (Yr8) won the 800m and Gary Ball (Yr8) won the 400m.

The boys had an enjoyable day and many got to compete in events for the first time. They were all a credit to the school and will hopefully follow up their performances in the school sports day next Thursday.
