This year 94% of our students gained at least 1 A or A* which shows that subjects across the whole academic spectrum can build on students’ individual talents wherever they may lie.
This year 94% of our students gained at least 1 A or A* which shows that subjects across the whole academic spectrum can build on students’ individual talents wherever they may lie. More than 1 in 5 students gained 3 or more A/A* grades, many of these achieving the very highest grades nationally gaining 8 or more A* and A grades.
This years’ top performers were;
Joshua Boyd, Charlie Franks,
Benjamin Hughes, Lance Jones,
Tom Mercer and Michael White
All of whom gained 8 or More A* / A grades.
Overall 65% of students gained 5 or more A*-C grades. In English, progress was well above the national figure with 70% achieving A*-C and a fabulous 20 A*and A grades; similarly in Maths there were 19 A* and A grades and in Further Maths 70% achieved A and A*grades.
French, German, Further Maths, ICT and Performing Arts all recorded 100% A*-C pass grades with Physics and Biology not far behind with 90% A*-C pass rates.
Headteacher ,Mr Whiteley, said “ I am delighted with some of these headlines, but what pleases me most of all is the progress that all of our students have made. These students were a wonderful year group and the value added score of 1019 (which puts us amongst the very best in the country)is a just reward for all of their hard work over 5 years here at Mosslands. I would like to say congratulations to the students and thank you to all of the staff who have worked hard to make these results possible”
